When can we expect an update that fixes this issue?<br><br>And yes I called support no help other than to say that sometimes Amazon does that,  maybe try it later?<br></p></div>have not seen that. although 2 nights ago i ran into something new. at around 6 pm video started playing real choppy it did that for 30 seconds till playback froze up. u change channel it would do the same. reboot did nothing, clearing the data and cache did nothing, uninstalling the app and reinstalling the app did nothing.<br><br>checked another fire stick and playback was fine.<br><br>called support first guy says we see no issue on our end reboot modem and router that didn't fix. then he just says well what do u want me to do i say well can u put a ticket in and his response was we don't put in tickets for fire stick issues... then hangs up...<br><br>called and spoke to a second guy he says do factory reset and that takes like 40 mins... and finally that cleared it up. no idea how that even fixed it as i got the fire stick to restore all settings from back up so its not like anything changed and ud think uninstalling the app would have wiped out any messyness and fixed it but nope.<br><br>can't say that i've seen your issue though. as for the next update last i heard R132 is on hold waiting for a fix because of that issue that shields have since they were updated to android 11. could be days weeks months before it even hits beta testers let alone customers who knows.<br></p></div>will this issue came back again today and again the only way to fix it was to waste an hour factory resetting the fire stick to make the start app watch able again.<br><br>so guess this is going to be the new normal a weekly factory reset...<br><br>on top of that final test build of R132 that was supposedly hitting the amazon test store on tueday still isn't in there so i can only assume it's delayed again... ]]></description>

We had added Disneyplus recently and it seems to require the fire stick set to Dolby Digital only in order to output in that mode - it only outputs in stereo when set to “ best available” sound.   However forcing Dolby digital breaks the Start app.   Not ideal having to switch the audio modes between services but at least both work now.  Start support has recreated the issue and has a ticket open for a permanent fix.]]></description>

My STB started getting the error now too, but the shield and other 4k stick still work.  <br><br>I guess if it is caused by weather like someone else reported, it's beyond control.]]></description>

<description><![CDATA[ArcticRoar posted : Yesterday one of my firesticks when using start tv started going to a black screen and then coming up with Service Error: Start TV was not able to startup properly as the server is not reachable.  If the problem persists, contact your service provider.  <br><br>All the other devices in the house work fine (stb, nvidia shield, another 4k stick).  It's just the one device.  The version of the software and OS is the same on both firesticks.  The network connection is fine as I can go on other apps like youtube, amazon prime and watch things.  I tried assigning it a different ip on the router, I tired it wireless and wired.  I tried clearing the data and cache.  I uninstalled and re-installed the application.  I even restored the stick to factory defaults and started over.  Nothing seems to work for start tv on that one firestick.<br><br>I logged the devices out on the web and it doesn't show up so I guess it's not connecting to start at all.<br><br>Does anyone have any ideas of what else I could try?  Thanks.]]></description>
