Typically, it's referred to as "founding" companies. But he is also genuinely an inventor and an accomplished business executive. I've never understood the haters.

Personally, I find that he's a pompous douchebag, and the more he opens his trap to say something completely stupid and out of touch with the rest of reality, the more I dislike him. From the cost of fighting hunger, to his inaccuracies about urban traffic planning and management.

Maybe he is, but that has little to do with his successes.

Regardless how you personally feel about him, he is still an accomplished engineer and accomplished more than most people ever will in their lifetimes in only 15 years. It makes no sense to pretend all his companies and technologies dont exist. That is crazy fanboi talk.
