Re: How not to get business at Spectrum

»mobile.spectrum.com/supp ··· tivation

No mention of SSN needed on this article.

»mobile.spectrum.com/supp ··· -service

It does mention credit requirements in this link.
But it says in store “driver’s license to confirm identity “ I am going to go on a limb here if you are a present customer and are not financing then checking your credit is not necessary. Besides that he is a long standing customer paying by autopay.

Verizon, AT&T, T Mobile, do not mention that you need a SSN when signing up for postpaid service either but people have enough common sense to have that information ready since they ask for it when signing up. I have been an existing customer since 2014 and they still ran a credit check on the mobile side when I joined in 2019.

I have found that companies like Verizon Fios and wireless have initially ran my SSN for a credit check. I notice on my credit report that they also do soft checks monthly. So if I want to walk in to Verizon and say I want an additional service they should or do have my information.

I have never been asked for a SSN for services just my drivers license. In fact I am reading at Verizon that they can give service without a social security given.

Very strange I may say
