The M1 mini would be fine if it had a bit more IO without the need for expensive port replicators. The space was there, they just chose not to use it.

Our usage for the Mac Mini is really basic. Just have a webcam, Logitech dongle, and USB cable for charging keyboard hooked up to our 2014 model. Mainly just used for streaming and web browsing. At $570, I figured why not?
