Re: Apple Event March 8

My trashcan Mac still runs fine. I'm undecided at this moment if I will get the Mac Studio or hold out hope that in June there will be a new Mac Mini.

I will imagine when they introduce the M2 chip, there will be either a trio of updated systems that were initially introducted with the M1, the Mac mini, MB Air and the 13" MBPro if it still exists then.

I dont think they wanted an M2 to spoil the fanfare of this Mac Studio launch.

Or they could eliminate the Mini completely.

I doubt it, the Studio is way too expensive for a basic desktop. They still want that gateway device I think.

That would be a huge mistake.

That would make me not want to buy another Mac desktop. I love the Mini for a couple of reasons. Flexibility and price. Eliminating it would make my other options an iMac, Studio (which is overkill), or a laptop (not ideal since I really don’t need the portability).

That can be said about every Apple product, whether it is a $20 polishing cloth or a $5,000 monitor not including its $1,000 stand.
