Re: Apple announces Friday Night Baseball on Apple TV+,

I really dislike all this steaming stuff.

It's not docsis. It's the coax/network of the provider. In a way, your hate for docsis itself is like someone hating General Motors because they had a bad experience with a dealer over car repairs. The car itself might not have been that crappy had the dealer done their job and fixed it right the first time, but if you go to another market area, everything is fine. But you end up hatting the car because the dealer sucked. I have DOCSIS 3.1 where I live. It's reliable and works just fine and is why i'm a "if it's not broke, don't touch it" kinda customer. I'm fine with coax and I really do a lot of media crap. I've NEVER EVER sit here and said, "Gee, I wish I had fiber". Better yet, I've never wished for a sat phone when I drop a call on my cell because I think cell phone service sucks and sat phones are the way to go. If your provider would get it's poo together, you would be having a better experience. If you had Verizon, you can get their home broadband (wireless) for $25. But maybe sooner then later, you will get your glass wire.

I had a GM car before.. customer service was amazing ! Every time I brought the car in (which was frequently now that I think about it ) they always gave me a rental free of charge no questions asked. They always took care of me that part I remember but after too many check engine lights I turned/ traded the car in. At least with cars there's a choice, many choices ! Unlike with broadband monopolies...

I miss Onstar ... my current car is not GM

I'd be hounding them then. If you already have their cell service, you might be able to get their home broadband on the cheap. And from what I've read, the speeds are really good. Better then TMO's.

My last GM car was from 1981. Anyone from the time knows most domestic cars went downhill kinda fast after 50k miles. I've had a Chrysler minivan of sorts since 1993. I'm on my 4th VW and 3rd Jeep. The last car I bought was a 2019 VW Atlas SEL Premium. It was going to replace the 2011 Minivan but the wife just isn't ready to give up the MV. So, the VW is almost 3 years old and is sitting in the garage with 16k miles on it. It's our LONG HAUL trip car.
