And.......it is correct! Not that I didn't expect it to be but we did the Magenta plan for 2 lines, Added the Netflix discount in and selected Auto pay. It all came through the way it was supposed to.

I have a friend in the UK who is appalled at how much we all pay here for cell service.....lol

We both ported our lines to the 55+Magenta plan and we now get Netflix for free with the deal, have unlimited everything, 5G Ultra Capacity Paramount plus free for a year, Apple TV+ free for a year etc.
We asked Verizon if they had a 55+ similar type of discount and their answer was: Only if you live in the State of Florida. WTF? lol

Is there a central location where these (and other) dialing feature codes are listed - for example call forwarding with Verizon was *72 for all calls, *71 for busy/no answer and *73 canceled those previous 2 commands.

I know Verizon had them published for their network but I have not had the time to search for them on T-Mobile yet.

I did begin to search for them on the internet in general but got a lot of "old hits" with codes that don't work.

i switched from Sprint to T-Mobile this past December. I am still trying to figure out how to stop this telephone from reminding me to look for free WiFi around here - it senses WiFi nodes but it is too dumb to realize that ALL of these are encrypted and password protected. There is NO free WiFi here at my apartment building.

In fact, when Spectrum's technician set up my Internet modem I asked him to disable the WiFi capability. I prefer to use Ethernet cords which have more speed and actually secure against freeloaders.

Anyways, there is a way to place a telephone call but when looking up something whilst the call is in progress it is impossible to get back to the screen that allows me to hang up.

Also, T-Mobile has set the maximum available time that the telephone rings before cutting over to voicemail to 30 seconds. There are sometimes when I need 1 or 1.5 minutes to answer the blower. The 30 seconds is an old fashioned artifact from when Bell System told people to let the phone ring for 10 rings ( 30 seconds ) before hanging up. This was to conserve on ringing current to save on the number of motor-generator sets and the electric bill. My telephone does not need to conserve ringing current.

How is the cell service in the Chicago area? I used to fly out of ISP To MDW when I worked for a company in Downers Grove. I have since come to abhor flying when I once used to look forward to it. I did have Hilton Diamond status so at least I treated myself well. Lol

Yes your comment about 2014 has to be valid and I do know people here who said it had gotten better then. The EARLY 2000 era of GSM was horrible..
For about 10 years or so when my wife was working for Verizon Wireless, we HAD to use their cell service if we wanted the 50% discount they offered.

In the mid 2000’s here on Long Island, NY you could not place a call and drive anywhere without the call dropping numerous times because the cell sites were not overlapping cells like most carriers have. Since they lit up the old Sprint towers, the coverage here is pretty damn good.
Yeah, mostly all carriers bill a month in advance these days.
