I'm currently subscribing to Superchannel to watch the second season of Pure (missed it on CBC when it aired), the second season of Condor (missed it on Epix when it aired), and a few other things.

I just discovered this, pretty cool, I added Global, CBC, and CTV to my Amazon FireTV and along with the Superchannel trial I have a list of stations airing 'live' like cable TV:

Does Global and CTV offer free live streams now? CBC has for a long while, but I always though CTV/Global was behind a paywall for the live stream (you could watch non-live content).

They do. There's a lot of ad-supported free content on the CTV app too - it's in our rotation for places to check for a movie to watch.

I'd get StackTV in a heartbeat if they'd upload Lost Girl. Have been wanting to re-watch that for years, but due to various stupidity it's really hard to get a region 1 dvd or blu-ray of the series. It was originally produced by Showcase, which is part of StackTV, but afaik it's not in the library.

That's... literally the only thing in the package I'd want though. Because yah, not a good value for money I don't think.

A few stations of Global News (Toronto, Edmonton, etc..) is free but you are correct, CTV and Global for the other live stations are behind a paywall which you have to activate by punching in your information for your TV provider.

That's dumb considering I can pick them up with an antenna outside my house and those stations have advertisements.
