I think the meter is wildly inaccurate (or made up depending how you want to look at it). For a while we were like you, coming in around 500-700gb, then magically we were up against the 1.2tb and exceeded it two months in a row without any change in our usage or devices. We ended up paying up for the unlimited since I don’t have the time/energy to deal with their shenanigans. Before anybody says this, we know all the devices on our network, etc.

that seems to check out as i remember for the olympics it said we were a little above our average for those months but that cant be as i was doing a lot more streaming than normal those months

But in that case then they may just make it unlimited
