I wish someone else provided service here. I'd jump to them in a heartbeat. <br><br>The reality is Comcast charges more than any other provider on a per megabit basis. They can afford to expand their crappy network without charging customers for overages.  Like pclover said, it's just another way for them to get more money out of people. ]]></description>

For a while we were like you, coming in around 500-700gb, then magically we were up against the 1.2tb and exceeded it two months in a row without any change in our usage or devices.  We ended up paying up for the unlimited since I don’t have the time/energy to deal with their shenanigans.  Before anybody says this, we know all the devices on our network, etc.]]></description>

<description><![CDATA[anon posted : Be honest this is my biggest head ace. I got 7 cameras, 2 - 4k streaming TV's that regularly stream YouTube tv and movies, multiple tablets, and cell phones. I got a Tesla that is apart of the FSD beta program that continuously uploads 7-12gb daily for it. These dirt bags know where to play there hand in the market regardless of knowing they have options for unlimited data. It would be nothing for them to increase this cap to 2TB or even 2.29TB to accommodate the 4k streaming and devices in a house and maintain there network with ease. ]]></description>

When I see my data cross 1TB the only way it can be is I know I have been watching 4k shows at a larger rate (several hours a day) compared to other times.  WFH zoom meetings, regular SD/HD streaming i never break 700-800GB. Thankfully I am in CT where, for now, we do not have data caps.]]></description>

<description><![CDATA[pclover posted : I've been able to get by without a unlimited data usage plan for quite some time now but over the past year to year and a half my usage has crept up and up. <br><br>Comcast claims only 5% of users will reach the cap but yet sells unlimited data bundled with their Xfi complete and advertises it pretty frequently. That 5% seems like a lie from the advertising on this. <br><br>Since I do rent their gateway I guess i can add for $11 a month extra but still it's BS because they can. We all know damn well caps are not about congestion but another way to  force more money out of people. <br><br>Honestly they need to bump the cap up to 2TB if they want to keep behind their 5% claim but that's not going to happen. 1.5 TB would be a nice improvement since they want to be stingy. <br><br>But hey it's "Comcast" after all. ]]></description>
