Sure HP, Compaq and the like have the possibilty for upgrading. In most cases the people who buy these machines have no idea who the mobo manufacturer is and they also do not know how to find out. Without this info, upgrading CPU, Ram, and Video can be a shot in the dark. Sure any savvy tech user can find out what they need to know to upgrade their HP, but everyday HP user....... ask them their mobo manufacturer....... LMAO!
