Go here: » 192.168.100.1 click on Signal and post your signal levels, "Upstream Power" "Downstream Power" and "Carrier/Noise" |

What site did you base your decision that your speeds are slow? You said you get 1100K from the OOL FTP site? That is very good and all your signal look like they are in range. |

In general on sites that can go really fast. Like downloading from cnet servers, getting linux distros, big files at fast speeds is where I notice the largest differences. |

Most files on CNET are not on their servers and are linked to other peoples servers. Also why not join DSLR? It costs nothing. |

The server can only dish ourt as much as it can. Most of the time it will not max out your OOL DL.
What do you get of the OOL Speed Test at the top of this page? |

Optonline.net is owned by cv.net ... so you're on the same network. When you are dealing with routers... they have two ports (or addresses) you'll deal with. An outgoing port.. and an incoming port. The IP addresses will even be different. It's possible the admin used one set of naming conventions when dealing with incoming ports.. . and another when dealing with outgoing ports. |
