Re: I Want to Switch to SPEAKEASY.NET

I just switched from Earthlink. You should have gotten an email from Spkez with the names of 3 people that are authorized to sign a release form. I called one of them, left my work number, and asked them to call me back. Within 10 minutes, the supervisor of the person that I called, called me back. I asked if he needed me to email him the form. He told me that he would download a copy of it. He also asked me who I was switching to, and told me he would fax it to spkez for me. He then wanted my fax number at work so he could fax me a copy.

Within 15 minutes, I had a copy of the fax sitting on my work fax machine, and a voicemail from the guy asking if I received my copy. By 6:40 PM that same evening, I was on Spkez.

I still think it is a shame that the only way you get to talk someone as professional and well-mannered as this guy was, has to be in the process of switching to another ISP.

You'll love Speakeasy. I wish I would have switched many months earlier. Every person I've spoken to has been super nice and professional. Responses to questions left on the TAC have been very speedy. I can't say enough good things about this company.

Oh, almost forgot. Make sure you call Earthlink after you are switched, and cancel your account with them. I waited a couple of days until I got around to calling. They had no record that I had been switched, and I assume they would still keep on billing you. I had to pay their early cancellation fee, but it was worth it to get normal ping times and routing back.
