Re: Bell givng ISPs crappy database re DSL availblty ?

how can that be? If the phone line is dsl capable, it should be capable on other dsl providers. Afterall, it's been said many many many times. the service goes from home > Bell CO > competitor ISP. now, it's already proven that you can go from the home > Bell CO (since sympatico is available in these areas). So why is it a logistical problem to route this data off the Bell network onto the competitor ISP backbone? Maybe someone with a nonbiased technical background could clue us in on this.

The other ISP's don't have their equipment or the licenses/rights/contracts in all of the CO's that Bell Nexxia serves. These ISP's have chosen to deploy their capital, equipment and resources in other areas.

Perhaps these ISP's have chosen not use the particular CO that you are fed from.

Exactly. They have access to the same records we do in the COE WTN database. To call this a conspiracy is laughable. They just didn't feel like supporting your neighbourhood.

Read this again please. And again. And again. The competitive dsl, for whatever reasons have chosen not to service your grandfathers neighbourhood. Why don't you try other phone numbers from the same exact area to see if they qualify?
