IE 6.0 and Adelphia

Does anybody know why (quite often) when I'm done surfing
I'll close down IE then when I reopen, say 5 minutes later It says "finding website" but never does. I'll hit refresh and nothing, just a blank page. If I wait a little while then it works again.

Thanks

You need to do a little more testing. When this happens, see if you still have an IP address, and see if you can ping out to any sites like BBR.

Go to Tools, Internet Options, Connections, LAN settings, and then make sure nothing is checked.

I've found that IE6 doesn't work right with win32... We tend to tell customers to downgrade to IE5.5 if they're not running winXP.

The only known issue with winXP is with one model scientific atlanta modem and USB drivers. There's an updated usb driver on the powerlink.adelphia.net website.

If you can ping out to external sites, that means your connection is still live. That really focuses the problem on the browser. If possible, I would roll back to IE 5.5.
