anon posted : I also have a Pacific Bell DSL, that was installed last Tuesday.
I'm running Windows 2000 and been having similar problems, in addition to a lot of dropped connections, TAP errors and a few others.

I found that the following application

PPP over Ethernet Protocol for Windows 2000 http://user.cs.tu-berlin.de/~normanb/

...works well.
I'm not sure about how this could be applied with other platforms, i.e., '98 and NT 4.0

anon posted : I just had dsl installed yesterday and I am having the problem with stalling followed
by fast packets.

When I removed the TCP/IP to the NIC binding, I can't log on using Enternet (it
gives me a "tap" error whatever that means. I changed the DHCP settings to use
10.0.0.1 and 255.255.255.0 for the ip address and netmask respectively but that
doesn't seem to help any. I have my RWIN set at 16,300.

My upstream/downstream readings seem to be about 5k/105k respectively... pretty
pathetic. Any ideas?
