aztimt posted : Hi, I just registered here this evening... I am signed up to receive Qwest dsl deluxe (residential) with a place called Info Magic as my isp. I am not sure when Qwest will make it actually happen (as I placed my order yesterday) but I am wanting to get an external modem/router that I can use to connect my 4 computers through my Linksys (can't recall model and not at home now)5 port switch. I am fairly well (self) educated on anything to do with a pc and windows (except NT 4) but I am still learning about networking and now I need to learn the dsl lingo. I am pretty sure that the Cisco is about the best out there for the low end of the fiscal scale, but I am wondering if there are any other brands out there that are even remotely close to the Cisco 678 that I might be able to use instead. Please be patient with me, I did not find what I was looking for by searching so now I am asking. If I missed a thread that saves some typing, please let me know. Thanx in advance and have a great day everyone!
[text was edited by author 2002-07-31 03:02:06]
