For the record, Im getting 80-90 k download speed tonight, both file download and ZDnet bandwidth speed check.

I notice that the lights on the modem will "fly" and then stop for a couple of seconds though, and resume the fast blinking again, like traffic is stopping and starting and stopping again. Any ideas?

Used to consistently get 1300k downloads until about a month ago.
If you used to get speeds that good and now are getting much lower speeds, my first thought is "congestion". Change your RWIN value back to what it was when you were getting 1200k downloads and leave it there.

Couple of things to try:
1) Telnet into your modem and see what speed you're "sync'ing" at. If your syncing at 1500k or higher, it's congestion (search around here on how to telnet into your 5260).
2) Do speed tests from other places than just DSL Reports. Download some files from »download.mindspring.com/ or places that have *fast* connections like »download.com or similar.

I can do a speed test here and get 600k downloads, but seconds later, download an MP3 through Napster at 1280k...

It's been about 3 weeks now and I cannot get a download rate of over 230k my uploads are great 300 + and my ping times are great too since they reprovisioned me 10-70 ms.

I've changed my RWIN value 30 times with no success. MTU fine 1452 for PPPOE. I'm running RasPPPOE on Windows 2000 have a 5260 speedstream modem.

Any help?
