LINKSYS EZXS88W Ethernet 10/100 8 port SwitchOk, I have this model got it from a friend who said he was using it a while ago. He did not have the power adapter for it so i had to buy one of those plugs that have the different connectors. I plug it in and set the voltage to 7.5V and i see the power light go on, i plug the router into the uplink port i dont get a light on that port. I plug in a computer to another port, i still get no light. I dont get any lights on any ports, only a power light.
Help here.. |

Well that is the problem, i dont have the Linksys power adapter. The universal has from 3 to 4.5v. I looked on the Linksys website and it appears that this unit needs 3.5 to power up the proper way.
So as it stands i need the 3.5v power adapter i believe. cause 3v is too little and 4.5 is too much for it.
I dont know if this will remedy the problem. I will head to radioshack to see if they have a 3.5v adapter. |
