Re: Is There A Way To See Who Is Hotlinking My Index?

You know,

I remember finding this link to an auction on Ebay for a dual P4 board if I recall. However, the auction was german or dutch but he linked the images from a reputable CPU review site. The site somehow traced the bandwith usage back to that auction. Instead of pulling the images or renmaing them, the site altered the images to be self-insulting.

It was altered to pics showing a truck "trashing" a computer with hilarious narrative titles such as;

"This is your CPU being carefully packed"
The image shows a truck running over the CPU.

"Here it is going through a BURN-IN test.
The image shows the CPU on fire.

Other images included self-derogatory remarks such as "Bid with confidence since I'm a moron.
I wish I had the link still to "share".

Vesentac, I heard of switching images on ebay.
It's fun when you catch someone stealing your pic.

I was selling a sony mavica camera once & someone linked off my image.
I cancelled my auction and renamed a """""nasty nasty""""""""" picture.

LOL.... they will never link off of my pics again.

Anyway, I did hear there is a way to detect who is hotlinking without the logs.

Just curious.
Thanks folks.
