Re: Comcrap cruisin' at 42Kbps Down! Woohoo!

Then i would suggest getting that fixed..the only way a problem gets fixed is if they know about it..and the best way to let them know there is a problem is to call in a let them run their little test..then explain the problem as you think it is and see what happens. If that gets you nowhere, call the administrative offices and talk to someone in charge of that problem. If you are rational, calm, and present a solid case they won't ignore you..especially if you keep on them. The people that decide to yell and won't let the tech get through what they have to test first, get written off and your problem will never get fixed. Try my suggestion and see where that gets you

Comcast blows...

Horrible network issues going on here. 3 tech visits and no resolution. Reverting to wideopenwest with better prices and better DL and UL rates. I'm in Michigan. Plus they wouldn't even offer me a discount for all the issues i've been having, they don't offer it for "slow" issues. Just no connectivity.

You are absolutely right. Comcast has a policy of not giving discounts for "slow" speeds hoever slow it might be. However after making numerous calls and speaking directly with the supervisors I managed to get a discount. So this is just to let you guys know that its posible but u gotto work hard for that refund.

Here also

280 down, and the usual lousy 70-something up. I don't know, but if I had to guess, I would guess that Comcast is about to do an ad blitz for their "new, faster, pro service", and this is just to make people want it. Either that, or they have signed up a few bandwidth hogs with "pro" service, and have done nothing to increase the already pathetic bandwidth available on my node. Comcast has been BAD for a long time now, but I haven't seen steady speeds below .3Mbps in a long time (that's POINT 3, NOT 3 like many of us used to get).
