Flipyo posted : 3rd party P2P application...

The only thing Event Viewer displays as errors are Mozilla (which, for some reason, crashes at random points since I upgraded to 1.1) and "cdrom" - my CD writer crashes when I have Trillian loaded for some reason (which I believe is another SP1 issue, but I really don't mind, as I don't need Trillian open 24/7 anyway). But, I'll clear the log, and try to get my system to freeze - just in case I'm missing something.

(RedXII1234: Thanks, took me a while to get it below 5k ;-p )

Flipyo posted : I should have said that my computer hard freezes (need to hit the reset button) and not simply crashes - so I can never seem to figure out what's causing it (although I've narrowed it down). I'm running sfc right now... haven't tried that, so I hope it works :) Thanks!

Update: SFC didn't report anything after it was done - which, I assume, everything was fine :-/ Any other suggestions?
[text was edited by author 2002-10-12 23:52:54]

Windows XP SP1 problems

Flipyo posted : After installing Windows XP's SP1 (and even after doing a fresh install and then reinstalling SP1) it seems my computer likes to crash after a few hours (random) when using Direct Connect (or a combination of programs I haven't quite figured out yet). It's getting quite frustrating. Unfortunately, I didn't say Yes to allow me to uninstall SP1. What should I do?
