There are some very good people at SBCI have been having a nightmare with my move. SBC has really managed to make a mess of this including 2 cancellations of my DSL order. In what should have been a routine move I ended up without phone service for most of a week, my cell phone bill will probably be $200 and I still am not sure that I will get DSL installed.
Yet, I am writing because in this I have found some very helpful people at SBC-Ameritech that I feel have distinguished themselves in customer service. Laura in the business office and Brian, a DSL technician. They spent hours yesterday trying to reinstate my cancelled DSL order( I am only, by SBC's figures about 7000 feet from the CO.) Even if it does not work out, they have distinguished themselves as dedicated employees and I really will feel that someone at SBC-Ameritech made a determined effort to get my problem resolved. While it is very possible that Laura and Brian will never see this, I do think that a thank you is necessary.
With all the problems that I have had with Ameritech lately some bashing is deserved. But there are hardworking employees that really will try to provide customer service. |

Eastside, I still have your info from where I was tracking down the disconnection issue. I'll pass on the kudos if you want me too. I'm still waiting for my contact to get back to me, but I do see your new RT order for the 20th.

Wow, I sure wish I could find just one of those helpful people. My experience over the last 5 days has been nothing but shear frustration with run-arounds, endless phone menues, incorrect transfers, and still no further than when I started. Nobody seems to know nothin'. |

Oh, Oh. If you see a new RT order then I am sunk. It has to be a straight CO order. I am told that there are no facilities in the RT. Please tell me it is not for an RT. Thanks for watching. Yes, do pass along the kudos. If there is a way to get the people involved some credit then by all means do so. In every business good people need to be indentified and rewarded, even if it is only a thanks. If there is something more that can be done, so much the better. Thanks again for your help as well. |

That is very true. It's the policies, regulations and tariffs that smell. |
