Re: Losing Sync when I get phone calls

If there is an MTU the removal is free, but to get someone out to check it out is tricky, because if they come out and there is not an MTU they will try to charge you for coming out .

Darn, is there no way to confirm if there is an MTU on the line beforehand?

If you have a cut and dried problem, 'sync drops with incoming phone call, every time' and you cannot resolve it yourself then the best bet is to get a tech to come out get it fixed. If it is something with your equipment or IW he can take care of it and if is a problem with the card at the CO, or anything between the CO and your house there is no charge. If you have had DSL for two years on the same number and at the same address then it is probably not a MTU issue.....

Yeah. I've had this problem for ~ 3 months..it really wasn't much of a nuisance before as I did very little downloading and the such..but now I've discovered online gaming and it's a total pain. I think i'll take your advice and just have a tech come out and do all the needed checks.
