Re: New 4Port Linky: BEFSR41 V.2

uhh duh, you just stated what was different, you said two of the ports run at full duplex, but this one has a 4 port switch, yours may be a hub, thats another difference...

Where can you find this "new" model? Would the online e-tailers ship by default?

I just bought one Monday from »www.outpost.com it was $99.00 after rebate. Free overnight delivery. Ordered it Monday night at 9:30pm and it was at my front door Tuesday morning at 10:30am (Got it in 13 hours!!) Sorry, couldn't help myself....

Mine has the new power connector and it says v.2 on the box. I checked the Firmware and it is version 1.37 dated January 3, 2001

Depending on how you configure the NICs they can be made to be auto sensing or forced to run only as a 100 base t or as a 10 base t connection. Then the ports connected to those cards will run only as a 100 or a 10 port. That is what was being said in the posting you were referring to.
