PetDude posted : Winproxy is a proxy server. So your TCP settings on the host work just fine at the default, since the clients have no direct connection to the internet. Once you installed ICS, you gave the clients a direct connection, so you need to adjust the TCP setting on the clients to compensate for the high latency connection.

Download DrTcp Here: »/r0/do ··· P021.zip
Find the correct settings here (assuming you have a two-way system): »Satellite Forum FAQ »Optimal Settings for DW4000 (Two-Way) Systems
Now follow the instructions here: »Satellite Forum FAQ »[DW4000] I'm sharing my connection on a LAN.
[Networking] Slow downloading speeds after removing winproxy.

numan98 posted : I removed Winproxy and installed the sharing options with Windows 2000. My networks works and all of the clients work. But now my download speeds are a lot slower. With the winproxy install I was getting download speeds of 1000 or above late at night. Now I am lucky to get 300, on the host or the clients. All the computers have windows 2000 with Service pack 3. My upload speeds have remained the same. I know it is something stupid I have over looked but I have read and rechecked every thing I can think of. Would anyone have any suggestions on what I had done incorrect?
