There are fans of the xbox and superior hardware and all, but go in Halo stand on the beach, look up at the sky and just spin around you will see how jumpy it gets. The PS2 is much smoother. People forget that the xbox is only a 32bit system running at a high mghz. Microsoft will have to do better on their next system.

I get 60 fps slid, the graphi9cs are the best, especially with the svideo pack, it runs in 1024x768(and up), its not 32 bit, its 256 technically, ps2 is jaggy, undetailed, and low fps, xbox2 has already been announced, and no lag on LIVE

you ps2 fanboys need to get a real gaming system, just cause ps2 is going downhill doesnt mean u need to start dissing a superior system like xbox. have any of u actually played xbox 'without' pointing out the small mistakes compared to the cruddy ps2? keep in mind i had a ps2, sold it for xbox and i dont regret it. xbox is ALOT better

whereami74 posted : Just my thoughts on the whole console versus PC - I have both a PC and 2 consoles (PS2 and GameCube). They both have their pluses and minuses. Like Martissimo said - [console gaming is so much easier, just upgrade the console once every three years or so when a new one comes out, and generally the console ends up costing less than a top notch vid card to boot] - but on the other hand games on my PC - like RTCW - continue to come out with new maps and mods. So although I bought this game over a year ago. I still play it alot. Every month their are new maps and new mods so it is always changing yet still the same basic game I bought. And I haven't spent another penny on it. So for $50 - I feel I have really got my money's worth. However their are games on consoles that I would only play on console. So I think they both have their place and time. I will continue to upgrade my video card and replace my console every few years . Just my thoughts on the subject.

EvilKernel posted : If you wanna play real games that look good and have decent AI, use a computer. Consoles are for sports games in my opinion. They can beef them up as much as they want, but you're still limited to playing on a TV and that will never match the high resolutions and color of a good ol' monitor. Unless you have one of those 3000 dollar plasma displays ;-)

I find it even funnier when FPS games are ported to consoles. Games that are strictly keyboard and mouse, being played with a joystick ! Sure...

again, I'll pass...

[text was edited by author 2002-12-18 16:48:45]
