Adelphia HSI → Alot of water to cross.

I found overseas servers usually ping higher. Depending where you are you've probably added a bunch of hops which would increase the likelihood of a traffic snarl. Stay close to home to find low latency if you can. Here's a link to a site that monitors the World Wide Web traffic:

When Europe is sleeping I can find some decent latency on occasion.
