That is a beautiful setup. I love the disguised cd drive, I would like to do that as well, but I am not sure how you eject the disk if you are not in windows and have a tsr running to open it? You got some snazzy looking systems there. ...Ravn |

Thanx .. !!
The "Stealth" CD drive opens as normal. I used thin double sided tape to attach to Face plate to Yamaha CD-RW. when you touch the aluminum face plate it still flexes enough to push the eject button. Some CD/CD-RW drives will require you to add something to the back of the face plate to make contact with eject button. the Yamaha didn't though.

what is the screen i see in the silver case with green light that looks like a temp monitor in the case. did you just stick it back there or am i seeing a reflection or something like that? |
|
|
Yes, I put it in there. It is a Digital Thermometer. it measures inside case temp. it has it's own sensor and runs off of the PSU. here is a better picture [text was edited by author 2003-01-23 19:11:58] |

Lots of empty network ports there... Do you collect Netgear hubs/switches ?? |
|
| |
lol ... Not initially, just kinda happened. got them free when my last company went out of business. there is a RT311 floating around some where still in the box. |

Very slick: That looks like LCDProc (or something similar to it for windows), which I am now using in both of my servers. » lcdproc.omnipotent.net/ |

okay wait... in one pic you have a dell dimension in it... and then in another pic, you dont have it in there- and the "biohazard" looks like the front CDRW drive hidden thing is gone. Am I missing something? DELL case in this one: No DELL case in this... BIOHAZARD looks different: I dunno.. I was just curious... were these pics taken at a different time? Well anyways- that is a SWEET setup! I REALLY like that little LCD thing on the case. I know that there is a windows based version: » lcdriver.pointofnoreturn.org/ |

The Specs of 3 machines you see in the picture are (two other machines not in picture) the Server is a Intel 440-bx2 mthrbrd with a PIII 850mhz 768mb, 2ea 9gig 10rpm SCSI-UW,2ea AHA-2940-UW controllers, 2gig SCSI JAZZ,8mm DAT SCSI, SCSI CD, Geforce2 TI 450 (GS), 3C509 NIC, Lian Li PC-60 Case. Antec 350w PSU. It runs NT4.0 Adv Server ,IIS5.0, Exchange Server 5.5, Anti-Gen, Backup EXEC and monitors & logs 2ea 1000w Rackmount UPS. I get about an hour run time on 3 machines, netgear and monitors. BioHazard is an Epox 8kha+, AMD XP2000+ (@1750mhz) 512mb DRR, 2ea 40gig HD, 20X CD-RW, DVD-Rom, GF4 TI4200, 3C509 NIC,SB live 5.1, Lian Li PC-60. Enermax 350w PSU The other one is an Intel D850GB P4 2.0ghz 1024mb,2ea 40gig HD,24X CD-RW,DVD-Rom, GF4 TI4600,3c509 NIC, SBlive. Coolermaster ATC-200 Case, Enermax 350w PSU BioHazard and server Share a 19" Flat Sony, Kybd and mouse through a two port KVM. the other monitor is a 21" Flat Sony. Biohazard's LCD display is From Crystal Fontz and I use Crystal Control to make it display stuff. I had to hand cut the aluminum Face plate to make it match the case. I also make a custom cable set up. LCD PicLCD Pic 2lol .. Yes, The picture with the Dell is an older picture. Biohazard is still under construction, doesn't have it's CD-RW and it's drives don't match yet. I took a close up of the 3 when the Server/Dell Got switched for a Custom built machine in a fancy case. BioHazard's Drives still didn't match Yet and it had an ASUS I-Panel instead of the LCD display. Glad you guys like, Rick [text was edited by author 2003-01-25 00:39:45] |
