IDSL and BONDING

Hello, I finally got my IDSL installed this morning after 4 months of waiting, but Im still waiting for my routes to be built. I was wondering about this IDSL bonding that the modem they gave me supports. Does anyone know how well it works and if so how much. Or any info really. 144/144 is kinda shabby compared to what I wanted from RADSL :|

Rhythms' DSLAM equipment does not support bonding. They may in the future.

Theoretically, the Copper Mountain DSLAM supports it, but it isn't generally done. I've suggested it to NOC, but it is more a matter of Engineering thinking it is a good idea, and then our Partner Relations people getting the partners on board for it.
It WOULD be a matter of money as well. They're not going to make a big profit off of one OR two lines to you so why give you two bonded for less than two separate?
If you can afford multiple lines, keep the one from Rhythms, get a second from another provider, and try www.midpoint.com or www.fatpipeinc.com for connection teaming software with multiple NICs. Remember to multiple source connections for maximum up-time.
Personally, I'd like to see VoDSL(Voice over DSL) with the new Netopia IADs.
