Re: Canada

I've read quite a few of your posts. I'm curious to how you would respond to a proposal for $50.00 a month for unlimited electricity usage at your home?

I've read quite a few of your posts, and you appear to be as adolescent as I assumed. You have made comments about people being screwed by caps, yet you supply no economic justification.

I had hoped to start some meaningful dialog, but I can see that you are too busy running around the playground making Fire Engine sounds and laughing at your own jokes.

Ignorance must be bliss.

Economic justification for what? Electricity and BB are apple and oranges. Just because they're both fruit doesn't make them equal.

What about unlimited gasoline for $50, unlimited PPV for $50. What if, what if, what if...

These non-sequiturs contribute ZERO to the discussion.

Other BB providers provide unlimited service and make money doing it, OOL division of CV, Surewest, the Roadrunner Service of Time Warner...hell, every major DSL provider. Oh...and I pick and choose who I converse with. Enjoy life on ignore.

Still busy patting yourself on the back for knowledge that is vastly superior to anything the rest of us can even hope to obtain.

It must be a truly awesome burden.

If you lived in say South Florida, $50.00 for unlimited electricity would be welcome. FPL, BellSouth, AT&T have a stranglehold in Broward!

$50.00 for unlimited electricity would be great just about anywhere!

I would download MP3's leave my lights on all the time.

Unfortunately, having Metered electricity/water/gasoline/garbage/Natural Gas/beer/wine/food requires me to use them in a responsible fashion.

I'd love it. My electric bill is currently around $120-$130 a month...

But seriously, I would think that something like this could be done, provided it was done in such a manner that electric companies could get enough revenue to cover their costs. I know that it's been previously suggested that government-- preferrably local and state government-- begin subsidizing the cost of last mile equipment WRT telephone and broadband. Maybe that's not a bad idea-- with the cost of some of the equipment out of the way, there's no reason why utilities can't be coerced into lowering prices for consumers... Just an idea, not really thought through too much, put out for discussion.
