HughesNet Satellite → [General] just ordered srs, a few newbie questions

Hi how are you all doing,
I just ordered direcway tuesday morning, and got a phone call today from the installer that they are coming next tuesday, and have a few questions..

I have read the faq and plan on printing out the part with preparing for the installer but is there anything else I should do thats not in the faq?

also I have read about the latency issue with satellite and do not plan on playing any FPS games, but how badly does it affect mmorpgs and MUDs (yes I still do play muds )? I read about mmorpgs being playable ..

These play well in DRS or SRS. Game play will be superior to a 24k dial up.
I assume these will have the 800-1200 ping of satellite ingame aswell, (which isnt so bad compared to my current 500ms ping when I played ac1 and 400 during ac2beta, which SKYROCKETED to 4k as soon as my brother surfed )

My installer asked if I had Zone Alarm on my computer or if I had ever had it. He wanted me to remove all traces of Zone Alarm from my computer and even in the registry before they came out. It had caused them problems running the setup software. I had to go to the Zone Alarm site to get it totally off my system. The install went without any glitches. Just something for you to think about.

I think this guy was full of it. He may of had a bad experience and blamed ZA. When I did my install I disabled ZAP during the installation process and as soon as everything was complete I activated it and everything has been running fine ever since.

Not sure how you prepare for the installer. My installer came with the dish and everything else. I had nothing delivered before he came like the FAQ assumed. All I did was make sure my modem worked.

Ok so if the installer brings the dish and equipment I should just ignore the first part of the faq dealing with getting the serial #s and printing them out in large font?
