A tower of my own ...

Got one location I may need to put up my own tower. Probably about a 60 footer.

What would one cost? Where should I buy it?

Go to ebay and type in "rohn". There are usually a few on there at a good price.

If your goal is to hold a 100.00 antenna @ 60' and support 50' of LMR 400 cable the very least expensive way to do this is a telephone pole available locally.

This is possible!. Just make sure that You pole is steady in the wind!. Large amounts of movement are not a good thing when it comes to antennas;)

Check out electro-comm,
www.ecommwireless.com

I've seen a 64' self-supporting Rohn in their catalog for just under $1000.

Or check ebay for "Rohn Tower" or "antenna tower" there are some good deals on there sometimes if you watch for it.

Let me give my usual small tower recommendation: »www.anwireless.com/
Great towers, nice people. A little more money than Trylon or Rohn, but a reasonable price for what you get.

And the usual disclaimer: I have no relationship with AN Wireless other than as a satisfied customer.
