Re: Moving/ New connection false hope/promises

For once, I have to sort of disagree a little with Doc Olds (don't rip me a new one).

I'd been a DSL customer for nearly 2 years when I moved last year, and if I'd not had help from a guy here in the BBRs ranks, I would've paid out the wazoo and been left with 230/23 DSL setup. So, I can understand where this guy is coming from, Doc.

Granted, business-class DSL might have been more appropriate for him, but do we really have any evidence from other regulars/posters in here that EL lives up to its business DSL installation guarantees?

I won't spend time elaborating on what I had to go through (search for it in the forums). However, I can honestly sympathize with some of these guys trying to move. When you get 10+ answers about moving policies and charges, along with turnaround times of 2-8 weeks, thrown in with having to contact BellSouth technicians on your own time to figure out why a super-clean line can't get better than 123/53 speeds, it can be pretty damned frustrating and grounds for seeking another provider.

My piddly 2 cents.

Read his other post and then add it to this post for the whole picture. He ignored offered help and He's in two different threads.

Anyway, Hall will get you instead of Doctor Olds.
