Re: Saddam destroyed weapons on eve of war

I see that you missed my point, but that's ok.

Homicide bombers are another story and I don't have the answer for that, except someday they will run out of them. You only get one chance. I would imagine they will also run out of virgins, but it will be too late for some.

Do explain your point if I missed it - it's midnight in Finland, and I'm not at my brightest (not that I'm particularly bright at any time of the day or year ).

As for suicide bombers running out though.., well, the birth rate around that part of the world is far higher than that of the average western nation including the USA. As I see it, suicide bombers will run out when they run out of more and less valid reasons to blow themselves up in order to kill westerners and Israelites.

I think I got your point somewhat... because I agree that the war on state sponsored terrorism can be won in just the way you talked about. Iraq probably will not be a problem for a long time, Afghanistan not quite as long, but there is nothing left there to sponsor terrorism. U.S. actions have probably made Libya back off permanently as an aging Qhaddhafi doesn't want to get his country reduced to rubble.
But privately sponsored terrorism like Al-Queda will not go away. It may find it more difficult to find a base of operations and they may run out of money some day, but it will certainly not go away through military means.
