Running under minimum requirements?

I was wondering if, although Vice City says that is must have a relatively fast processor, will it run (not come up with some screen that says I can't play) with a slower processor? I was thinking I can just turn all the graphics as low as it goes and it should work (btw it's only the processor that doesn't meet minimum requirements.

The minimum requirements don't really mean much if anything. All it does mean is that the thing will run but very, and I mean, very slowly. The rule of thumb is to always have hardware that meets or exceeds the recommended hardware for game play. This will mean you will enjoy the game a lot more without long load times and some good quality graphics.

In your case you may very well be able to play Vice City but graphics will be very poor, load times will be long, and you may end up beating your machine before you ever finish the game.

well I've been trying it out on my 566mhz machine with a Radeon 32Mb SDR version, and it runs quite well actually, load times are not long, and the frame rate is good, but not always constant..actually it seems allitle better than GTA3 frame rate wise. Thanks alot.
