As an interesting comparison data point: the median salary for a pediatrician in NJ is $100K + benefits, and that's for someone with an MD degree and three years of residency training.

We are not complaining. We would like to keep what we have.
In the past, Unions have made concessions for companies that are failing. Verizon cannot justify these give-backs.
BTW, what is wrong with making 70k per year with a H.S. diploma? Does all the training I received while working for Verizon mean nothing.
Maybe the pediatrician you are speaking of should set his/her sights a little higher if they feel the pay is not enough. Do you feel that all income should revolve around your profession?
