[Win2K] Multiple Networks (laptop)

ahh, i already posted this in the Microsoft help forum...but then i realized you guys might be better able to answer it...so here it is...

someone brought me a laptop running windows 2000 that needs to have two different network configurations...let me explain

When this laptop is at the office, it logs onto a domain..domain X..there is a dhcp...etc

When at home though...the laptop needs to log onto a workgroup and needs to have a static ip already assigned to it..

I was wondering how I could create both these settings...could I possibly create two different hardware profiles or is that hardware only? software independent? ...or I was thinking..at the login screen itself...when it asks me to log onto "domain X" or "this computer" if i could create another setting "home"

and yea, I dont want it to be too complicated...this user isn't going to be able to do anything other than log on to a different area/switch users/switch hardware profiles...something user friendly/simple. thanks!

I was going to recommend NetSwitcher, but according to the FAQ it doesn't look like you're going to be able to easily do this. Looks like if you gave them the Join Domain right they may be able to do it. Looks like the price went up since I've purchased it, but at $14.00 it is a bargain.
