We also help the users set up their computers, set up routers, etc. 70 students can adequately take care of the 5,000 undergrad campus. And no, we don't levy a fine for infections.

sounds like a great setup. arent people going to school to learn anyway why not learn some computer security. I think students would agree with your schools ideal better then having admins checking their pc's. another student isnt gona rat you out if you downloaded illigal software or for using kazaa. They are gona try to help you secure you system as best as you can and still let you do what you want with the pc. Their job isnt to enforce school rules its to secure pc's. Other students would take this taht ideal much better
