Wireless Service Providers → Re: How big is your WISP?

I am a Newb WISP.

Auctually, just started last week. I am using 3 Linksys Routers, each with the piggy back amp, to cover 4000 sq ft. In my one week so far, I have 14 Clients. I use 128bit wep, along with MAC blocking to keep out leachers.

This is backed by 6megabit SBC Business DSL, which suprisingly at peak times, is running at only 1-2megabits. Clients seem very happy for having up to 6 megabit broadband for only $20/month O_O

Is it illegal to sell SBC Business DSL? If SBC find out you could loose everything!

Did your link budget calculations tell you to use the amps? Seems like a lot of power to cover 4000 sq ft.
