You may have answered your own question there. Is there a data panel on the bottom or back that says what version the unit is? According to the website the latest version is 2.6 with the firmware version 1.07. You should be able to find out what firmware your using in one of the access points internal pages. » www.linksys.com/download ··· fwid=176 |

You can check the FCC ID on the label. WAP11 version 1 (no explicit version number on the product) had an FCC ID of O7JGL2411AP. Version 2.2 had an FCC ID of O7J-GL2422AP. Version 2.6 has an FCC ID of PKW-WAP11V26. |

The attached image is all I know about it. There is no indication of which version product I have. |

The FCC ID is a physical label on the back of the device. It is there. It's the law. |

Label on the bottom, as it was mentioned will include:
v1.1 and v2, if your AP is v1, that white linksys label will not list a version model. I have v1.1 and v1 at home and that is the difference. you are looking for a white label on the bottow which includes WAP11 writing on it. |

The documents filed with the FCC test show this to be a version 2.8 (See Users manual). » gullfoss2.fcc.gov/prod/o ··· WAP11V28' |
