Re: What do we all think of cox hsi so far

"I would venture to say that calling them idiots and stupid will not get you much sympathy. Is that how you talk to them when you call? I know you are frustrated, but being insulting doesn't help."

I've found SG's attitude to be more pissy the longer his/her problem goes on without being resolved, and I can sympathize. While his/her post might be insulting toward Cox, yours is kind of condescending, dude. He/she may appreciate your input, who knows. Just my opinion. I'm getting pretty pissy myself and I'm trying hard to keep from being insulting toward Cox, but I'm reaching my limit. And I've always been VERY polite when I call tech support, no matter how insulting and condescending they are toward me.

SG, I feel your pain. I'm sick of being unable to play CS, use Xbox online, talk to friends via IM, and just plain load a damn page most of the time.

Tempers are bound to flare after a while. If Cox had a message on their status page saying "we know there are problems in ______ areas, we're doing our best to fix them... please bare with us", I'd be on top of the world! It wouldn't even take the final fix to make me feel better about Cox. I'm sick of commercials advertising their speed, sucking in new customers, while their service is so questionable and they're denying any problems.

My neighbor switched from dialup to DSL a few weeks ago. They considered Cox but I told them about what I've been through and they decided against it. Just one person, which might not matter to Cox, but there must be a lot of people besides me spreading the word about Cox's problems. Wish I could sing their praises. :-\ If I wasn't moving within the next few months, I'd be using DSL, too.
