Thanks for the info everyone! The DSLAM in my little town of Chunky is about to go active at any moment now. That's what got my curiousity going about the number of people who would be able to have access to it.
This is a very small retirement type community. I wondered who else in town would even sign up besides me!
I might have a DSLAM all to myself. I know I've been waiting for this moment ever since I left my WONDERFUL internet connection in college years ago. It's killed me to have to live with dialup, and DSL is and will be the only alternative here for a long time, if ever. hehe
