Locally....Here in the Kansas City metro (Kansas side)we have a cable company, Everest, who I am sure some of you are familiar with. Anyway, they offer a bundled package of Voice (local and LD), CATV, and Internet all over the same COAX coming into the home. The people I know who have it are very satisfied with the service. The problem they have, is that they have run out of funding to expand into more of the Local market here. I am anxiously waiting for this bundled service from TWKC.
Also being a Sprint employee, I smell employee discount on these services too. |

Don't have high hopes for too much of a price reduction. Once the FCC figures this one out all of the fees will be placed on the service. Also, cable companies will then be brnded "telcom svc" and will have to open up the network to everyone like the bells.
This will happen since the bells are moving into VOIP. Just think, the bells with DirecTV, will then use the cable company's fiber to bring you their bundle services including video!! GREAT WIN for all of us and the cable companies get a taste of competition with hands tied behind their back!!! |

Comcast (used to be AT&T broadband) has been offering the same service in the southern parts of Chicago for years.
I actually signed up for the coax digital telephone service with AT&T when it first came out (about 4 years ago) and loved it!
Sadly, I moved to the north side of Chicago, and the service is not offered here yet...oh well... |

Well...before this was announced,(back in September) We were being prompted to sign up for bundled service packages that would include Local...LDD...PCS...and any broadband internet connection other than DSL that uses the primary fone line. The discounts were rich. And really it isn't so much the discount that is appealing rather...just being able to have "one throat to choke". |

Note from the Star, Everest has hit cash flow with $4 million more than projected. They are gearing up to continue expansion, primarily in South OP area and others. They're on the move again. No help from Aquila. |

I dunno about your area, but I was paying a little over $50/month for 2 lines with all the features on one line and a few on the second line. This, of course, included unlimited local and local-toll. |

That's awesome...except for the fact I just moved out of South O.P. They had already layed the cable...they just ran out of capital to light it. |
