»www.tweaknews.com/forum/ ··· e04c35e0 read this, i have been having this problem, can anyone tell me what it is? I get this strange sound everythime i scroll. can this harm my computer?
I really doubt it's anything wrong with your computer since it only does it when you scroll.
Have you tried turning off your speakers? It could be a sound event in windows. Windows sometimes will have a little clicking noise when you do certain things.
My best guess would be it is a clicking sound coming out of a little speaker inside your computer. Possibly right on the motherboard. The one that says BEEP! when you turn the computer on. Why is it doing that? I don't know. But I would bet that's what it is. It is definitely not the ram or anything like that. I've had a similar clicking noise happen to me before when I have done something to hardlock my comp - then when I would press any key on the keyboard or mouse it would go clickclicklicklciklick.
What mouse do you have? What mobo, soundcard, etc?
I have intel D865GLC, on board sound, the soun is coming from my box, not speakers, ya, when i lock my comp and press keyboard, it makes the clikclick too, but it not the same, its not that bad(the sound) i justed wanted to know if this is a sign of my comp dying, or something wrong.
