Sounds suspicious to me. I'd stay away from it. Besides, it sounds like they are selling a service rather than a product and that's against eBay's rules. |

What are you looking to get in terms of a phone. Maybe someone here can help you get a deal for free. |

From what I heard,.. and granted this is not first hand or personal experience... those offers are links to sites that let you buy a CD and puts on a list to get the phone for $35 or some such... |

most of the time those auctions r for websites, that offer those phone as a promo for the carrier, they will for a fact send u the link to sign up, but the also sent that link to million other biders + the other ppl that know about it, and basicly u sign up, wait for your phone, but if it expired b4 u get your phone, u'r SOL |

I just bought a Sony Ericsson T-300 off ebay from an individual, $65.00 it was a good deal, I put my sim card from the new Samsung x105 (which I don't like) into the phone and there were no problem. Just watch who you are buying from (look at their feedback) make sure it is what you want, I have seen some really cheap phones on ebay, and PAY ATTENTION to what 5 in 4 said about links to the phones cd ect.... |

Lotsa individuals sell/buy handsets on ebay. I'm not a heavy ebay user, but I think you can filter out the commercial sellers (?).
The trick is to get a model that works on your provider's network AND your provider will put it on the network. The tech is changing *so* fast (not just features - but underlying network too) that most of the used stuff may not do what you &/or your provider need it to do. If you haven't already, get a list of makes/models T-mobile will support/allow. |

As everyone else says, if it's too good to be true then it probably is.
I tried a similar list and it's all a joke. Either it's one of those "get rich quick schemes" or they provide you with a list of websites that have been hammered a week prior and no longer work.
Just look for the actual phone on eBay that your looking for and be sure that you read the description carefully (item condition, accesories included, payment methods accepted, shipping costs, etc) and check their feedback rating. I usually dont trust people with over 5 negative feedbacks so I just check what their complaints were. There are some out there who just like to leave negative feedback for everyone so you cant just look at it sometimes you need to read it.
I just purchased a Motorola V400 off of eBay and it was brand new. I activated it today and have no problems whatsoever. The seller was very attentive and shipped promptly. I do alot of business on eBay and believe that as long as you think before you buy, you'll usually end up with a good deal.
Good luck! |
