Software → [Help] aim lags when trying to send messages

for the past week, whenever i chat with someone on aim, when i hit enter, or send, it takes several seconds for the message to actually be sent. I have just re-installed the program, same problem.

i am using dsl, connected through a lan. i never had this problem before last week, and dont know how to get rid of it, it is extremely annoying!!!
