Call them they will replace for free with a v2 if you are polite and persistant.

Mentioning the serial number thing from thier web site helps. You will get a forign country person on the Phone:(
You will eventually get an RMA. They will secure an advance replacemnt with credit card. YOu will not be charged unless you fail to return old unit.

They pay shipping both ways.
