I lived in Sperryville right at the entrance of the Blue Ridge Mtns. (Skyline Dr.) and I was testing 1 way cable for them. (Front Royal office) You had to be right on 211 or not far off it to get the service. That was 3 some years ago.
I too am surprised they have 2 way out there now.

Im now in Louisa, and very surprised they have it here.

I lived in Warrenton for 8 years, and I must say that area will be a mess for those wanting cable internet access. I have family there and still visit the area monthly. And I cant believe all the people that WONT be able to get the service. The big subdivisions and old town areas will have no problem. But there are so many house's (not far from old town and sub-divisions)that are too far off the road that wont get it. For instance the road my parents live on, right off 17...the road that goes to Airle, there is a node right there, and the fiber runs just about 1/2 way to 29. The fiber is smack in front of my parents house, and they cant get internet. My father offered them a nice sum of money but was turned down. They are only 100 feet (or a little less) off the road, and no obstacles in the way to their house.

Oh well...at least Warrenton is finally getting Power Link out there. Adelphia has done a great job building up the old cable comp. that was there. :)

And believe me this, if they COULD have left digital cable on in Boynton Beach, they WOULD HAVE, it is far more lucrative to have the advanced services available....

so...although I do not know what was wrong, SOMETHING had to be wrong....cause it just makes fiscal sense to offer the digital product.

Don't hold your breath. I've waited through four years of being told "in 6 months." They finally have upgraded our area. It was turned on for approximately 2days, then they "un-unpgraded" us (go figure, this is Adelphia). Adelphia completed all the work in my complex in August. It is now almost the end of March and nothing. In February I was told the standard 3 weeks, it is now March and still crappy ass TV.
