It would be more relevant to compare SATA RAID 0 on 7200 RPM drives to SATA RAID 0 on 10K drives, so I'll add that I'm using Sandra 2004 and getting a result of 72,494 KB/sec. out of my 2x7200 RPM RAID 0 array, using the software striping included in the OS. These are Seagate 160 GB SATA drives.

Doesn't look to me like the 10K Raptors are much, if at all faster, and possibly even slower, although of course we're running on different hardware, different drive manufacturers, etc.
